I'm posting this hoping to catch anyone who could provide me a download link for instrument definition of the Yamaha MU-1000.

Hi mygatunes, 
If you try the Ymaha manual library here: 
http://www.yamaha.co.jp/manual/english/ 
you can do a search on MU1000 but I think you'll find there is only a manual in Japanese. However most of the names you need are in English. Hope that helps.

Even if i download the manual, where's the instrument def that i can use with cakewalk? I have no knowledge whatsoever on how to create instrument definitions and has no desire to do so since everytime i buy anew synth, there's instrument definition available.
