My name is Jud Millar and I am the director of a summer camp and we have decided to build a small recording studio for our campers and staff. I have read a lot about this Roland Studio Pack (Roland VM-3100 Pro digital mixer w/ R-Bus card) and am very interested in it as it seems fairly straight forward once you learn your way around the thing. I found one of these for $250

I am also considering the Lexicon Omega Desktop Recording Studio which has just 4 channels and is less expensive. I would run this in conjunction with a current analog mixer then to the Lexicon Omega then to my computer using Cubase LE. My buddy had a Lexicon Omega he’ll let go for $100.

Thoughts on these 2 systems?

Jud
