need help/advice with the best way to record drums on a cheap budget

2 posts | 1 Posted on 02/25/2008 at 21:50 Hey everyone, my name is Rob, im 19 and ive been playing drums for 13 years. What I want to do is set up an easy studio in my house. What I have is a Dell Latitude D630 laptop and a Tama rockstar custom drum kit. What I want is some recording software for my computer and either a mic or set of mics to record with. The only thing is I dont have a large budget. Really nothing over $300 at most, and thats only if I HAVE to go that high (being broke in college sucks). I have been looking at a few things to use, my first idea was to use this combination or mic and software but I dont know if it will work correctly?
