Real newb question - can't get input from piano with cool edit pro!

1 posts | 1 Posted on 11/23/2007 at 00:31 K, I just set up my keyboard (yamaha xglite) to my laptop with cooleditpro 2.0, and I can't seem to get any input signal from the laptop. When I go to options -> device properties, it seems to recognize the yamaha is there under the midi in tab, it shows up as "yamaha usb in 0-1", though in the "device ordering preference", there's a note in the window that says "MIDI input devices are not currently used in multitrack". Is that the problem? I just want the software to recognize when I'm hitting the keyboard, and there's no signal whatsoever, do I have to do something on the keyboard itself to generate an output? Any help for this noob would be appreciated, thanks!! |
