Here is a little bit of drums I recorded for the purpose of mixing. 
 
The beat is being looped so the cymbals are screwed up and ignore the hi tom because it wasnt miced as you can tell. 
As for everything else, please tell me what I need to change and your opinion as to how it sounds.

I listened to your mix of the drums. One thing you should remember is that you cannot determine how the finished product of your drums will be until you see how it will translate into the entire mix. Hope this helps.

Sounds interesting? are you playing in 5/4 on purpose?

It sounds like you use one microphone. If you mike each drum and run the signal through a mixer you can separate the drums out.
