Well, the Mixer ist still functioning. Only the Preamps don´t work anymore. So actually i still have a mixer. Just without preamps. And with the mx1604a (at least with mine) the noise level when you use more than one preamp was pretty high. A friend of mine has a bigger one (a Eurodesk with meterbridge) and there the noise is very decent.  
 
But anyway my budget is around 100$ and I thought it might be more realistic to get fairly decent preamps for that money than a Mixer in that pricerange.

I don't find the Behringer pres to be that noisy. I'd still go with a mixer because it's very useful to have one around.

Well the thing is yoy won't have much choice in this price range. I stand by my first response, i.e M-audio Audio Buddy
